The Election Commission of India has released the schedule for the forthcoming Andhra Pradesh assembly and general elections. Voting is scheduled for May 13th, with the counting of votes slated for June 4th.
In addition to outlining the crucial election schedule, the Election Commission has specified the maximum permissible expenditure limits for MLA and MP candidates during their election campaigns.
According to the regulations, the expenditure ceiling for an MLA stands at Rs 38 lakh, while an MP can spend up to Rs 90 lakh.
Election Commission has issued stern warnings about the legal repercussions of violating these guidelines. Candidates are also cautioned against making personal attacks or derogatory remarks about their opponents.
